Depth Filtration Technologies Private Limited is inspired by its vision of providing solutions in the space of water purification for the well-being of the community so that they can lead a happy and healthy life. With this objective in mind, Depth Filtration was incorporated in the year 2002, under the Companies Act, 1956, with its Registered Office at No. 554, 9th 'A' Main Road, 1st Stage, Indiranagar, Bangalore - 560038, under the name Highgene Technologies Private Limited.

The Company was renamed as Depth Filtration Technologies Private Limited on 1st April, 2016. With the increasing business and addition of new product lines, the factory was moved in May 2019 to a more spacious and world class facility of around 20,000 sqft at Jigani, Bengaluru.

Of late, there is a lot of awareness built on the need for safe drinking water and usage of water purification systems for drinking water. Increase in industrialization and consequential urbanization has led to the contamination of ground water. Coupled with shortage of treated municipal water, it has become essential to treat the input water with appropriate technology before drinking. For any water purification system to work effectively, the input water needs to be free from different types of sediments and other suspended matter before the purification stage.

Depth Filtration specializes in the manufacture and marketing of different type of filter cartridges which can filter out all types of sediments and suspended matters from water and make it ready for purification of microbiological contamination. In line with this, Depth also manufactures carbon blocks for pretreatment of water post filtration to adsorb residual chlorine, lead, iron, heavy metals and other chemicals and organic matters including pesticides. Facilities are also available to encapsulate these cartridges in suitable housings which can be directly used in the water purifier assemblies.

It is one of the largest manufacturers of world class Polypropylene yarn wound filter cartridges and supply these filters to most of the water purification system manufacturers (OEM) in India. Depth has the unique distinction of retaining all its customers and always rated as an excellent vendor / partner based on consistency quality, timely supplies and customer satisfaction Depth Filtration produces more than five million cartridges in different sizes every year.

The factory is located in Jigani Industrial Area, which is one of the well developed Industrial suburbs of Bangalore, with respect to infrastructure, transportation, water availability and trained man power. It is within 5 kilometers from the Bangalore-Hosur Highway and is about 20 Kms from the city centre.

Depth Filtration caters to almost all the leading water purifiers manufacturing companies across India.

Depth Filtration is equipped with high-quality yarn-winding machines, both imported as well as indigeneous, which are capable of winding the yarn upto 40 inches length at different micron levels of porosity. It also has a semi-automatic Thermobond rolling machine, imported from South Korea, which can make polyester thermobond filter cartridges. It also has semi-automatic Extruder machines for making carbon blocks in different sizes. Depth Filtration is certified for ISO 9001 and as a GC–Green company by DQS India. The factory is manned by trained manpower and qualified supervisors with a dedicated R&D team and Quality Control department.

Water Purification systems are poised to grow at an exponential rate and hence the demand for filters and carbon blocks will grow along with them. After sales service is a big business for most companies and hence the need for filters and carbon blocks is ever growing. There is a huge opportunity in the market place for providing filters and carbon blocks for service providers with different specs and formulation. There is also an export opportunity for these filters and we are in the process of exploring the same. There is a market for accessories like Iron removers, heavy metal removers, assembled filter and carbon integrated solutions and many more.
